Welcome to Atho-Ryng.

Your payment ring allows you to make secure contactless payments wherever Mastercard® or Visa® contactless payments are accepted.

Setup only takes a few minutes.

Before you start

Please make sure you have:

✓ Your Atho-Ryng payment ring

✓ The QR code or Visual ID included in your package

✓ A compatible smartphone

✓ An active internet connection

✓ A supported payment card

  • Check which partner banks are in your country - click here.
  • If your bank is not listed, use the free neobank Curve app as described below.

✓ An identification document: ID card, passport, driving license.

Step 1 - Download the Apps

Download the two management Apps on your smartphone.

Available on:

  • iPhone (iOS 13 or later)
  • Android (Android 5 or later)

After installation, open the app and create your account. It is free and takes few minutes to sign up.

b. Create your account for the e-wallet Curve

Follow the steps as shown on your mobile. Bare in mind that this is a financial service: security is key. Be patient but pay attention: three errors / mistakes and the App will block you: suspicion of fraude.

Create an account. The system will request a verification of your identity (with y and details (e-mail and phone). Validate the activation in the e-mail sent.


Your account is now ready.

c. Connect your payment card

1. In the e-wallet App, add your bank card (VISA / MastercCard)

  • Open the Account / settings section.
  • Select "Add Payment Card".
  • Scan your card using your camera or enter the details manually.
  • Accept your bank's terms and conditions.

Your card details are securely encrypted and sent directly to your bank for verification. This brings you in your bank mobile service (cf Next step "Verify with your bank"). Do not close until all steps are done and confirmed.

2. The app generates a virtual card: this is the Curve card. The card and PIN numbers generated are the ones to link to your payment ring. Write down the details of your CURVE card (card number and PIN code).

3. Curve is the wallet in which you can store several bank cards you want to link your payment ring to.

d. Verify with your bank

Depending on your bank, you may be asked to:

  • Confirm your identity in your banking app
  • Enter a verification code received by SMS
  • Approve the request through your bank's security process

Once verification is completed, your card is connected to the Curve card.

e. Create your account for ring management

Go into the second App, Manage-Mii. This App is your ring management application. Here you can

  • add and / or remove several rings
  • generate a token to link to your Curve card
  • activate / deactivate your ring

Follow the steps:

1. Enter your email address.

2. Verify your email.

3. Create your secure PIN.

4. Log in to your account.

Your account is now ready.

Step 2- Connect your ring

You can add your ring in two ways:

Option A - NFC detection

1. Select "Add Ring".

2. Hold the ring against the back of your smartphone.

3. Wait for the ring to be detected.

Option B - QR Code / Visual ID

1. Select "Add Ring".

2. Scan the QR code included in your package.

3. Alternatively, enter the Visual ID manually.

Your ring will now appear in your device list.

TIP

The NFC antenna is usually located on the back of your smartphone.

If your ring is not detected immediately, slowly move it around the back of the phone.

Step 3- Activate your ring

Your ring must be activated for you to be able to pay

Connect the payment card

  • Add the Curve card details in the ring management app : your ring and your bank cards are now connected but inactive.
  • Activate your ring to be able to pay with it

That's it: your ring is now ready to be used!

Activate the ring

To complete activation:

  1. Hold the ring against the NFC area of your smartphone.
  2. Keep it still during the activation process.
  3. Wait for the confirmation message.

Activation complete.


Your Atho-Ryng is now ready to use.

Your first payment

There is a gesture, specific to how to pay with your ring.

Important

For certain transactions, your bank may require additional verification.

How to use your ring to pay

  1. Wake up the payment terminal.
  2. Bring your ring close to the contactless payment reader .
  3. Hold it steady for a moment.
  4. Wait for the confirmation beep or message.

Payment successful.

Manage your ring

Within the Atho-Ryng App, you can:

• View your connected rings

• Manage payment cards

• Suspend payments if your ring is lost

• Reactivate your ring at any time

• Add additional compatible devices
